Subject: Re: [External] Re: {Chrysler 300} 64 K headliner color
Folks, it's been years since I sold my last 300-K plus all reference material, so only have memory left.
First, my white hardtop with black interior had white headliner. The Wedgewood exterior with light blue interior had light blue headliner.
Next, suggest folks try looking at materials the website by a fellow in IA has with shop manual, sales materials, etc. Obviously I no longer recall the site address, but it was very thorough.
Lastly, seems I recall a matrix somewhere in materials for the 1964 cars that listed the normal exterior colors, then the available interiors for each exterior. I THINK then there was a listing of headliner standard color for each standard interior color. May have been at beginning of the shop manual or parts book for "Interiors" section. Or sales materials on the site I can't recall. You folks need to help fill the blanks of what I recall, at least as it applies

I saw a G that had a white hard perforated headliner material that came from the factory. My G had the standard tan leather headliner.
If you are talking special order interiors - I'm not sure we were - but I had a 888 black interior G that had a white headliner. I corresponded with at least one other club member who had a 888 black interior G with a white headliner.
I have been told that all the cars with special order interiors have a white headliner. My 300F with a red interior has a white headliner. I was told that the headliners were put in on the assembly line long before the rest of the interior. Because the interior color was not known to the headliner installer they put white in all the special interior order cars. Can anyone verify this?
For whatever it may be worth, my Silver Anniversary K has a black interior and a white headliner.
I have a question about the headliner color on my 64 K. It is a black car with a black leather interior, AC with a white headliner.
Was this standard or an option to have white instead of a matching black headliner?
I see many black replacement headliners available for sale, so was black installed by the factory and in what instance was it used?
