I was heartbroken to hear the sad news of John Lees' passing a few days ago, as Patrick Monaghan and Peter Pellicani have mentioned. Our condolences to his Family and to Jeff and Lisa.

 

Having spoken with John at Jeff and Lisa Carter's shop on various occasions, I was immediately touched by his magnetic personality and, after just a few minutes on the phone, felt like we were lifelong friends. What started as a quick call about a needed part or a simple tech question quickly evolved into an hour-long conversation of stories both in Washington State and in Arizona. John would tell about his ongoing visits to car events and rowdy parties with longtime Chrysler legend, Ken Mack.

 

I don't know if any of you are subscribers to "Crankshaft" magazine, but John emailed me informing of its Edition #6 - featuring an in-depth article about a 300-F restoration. In his email, he also included the attached a photo of his '60 Windsor all decked out for a Christmas Parade in Washington in December '23.
