--Hi all!
The gas pedal on my K has dropped almost to the floor, which in my limited Accountant's brain, likely means that something happened with the throttle linkage. I've looked at it from every angle I can find, and it appears that it is generally in good shape with one exception. Looking at Page 14-24 of the '64 Chrysler Service Technical Manual, the left (engine side) of the accelerator shaft seems to be sitting loosely in its holder instead of solidly. Look just below and to the right of the circled #4 on that page. The firewall side of that holder seems to wrap around the shaft. Mine does not. It is wide open. When I manually open and close the carb, the shaft jumps out of that holder. Can you tell an accountant's writing this? I have no idea what that holder is called. 🙂 Has anyone seen this before? If so, how did you fix it? I'd love some feedback on this, if anyone's bored!
Thanks!Jeff Biltz
