First one had pins I cut them off, did the drill thing. Being able to pull it tight with nuts helps you a lot , 6/32 smaller than pins tooI left off the guards ,but it is not bad to move whole bumper back, 1/2" = later evolution of that issue.Car looks better too Sheet metal fills space, already on car I think it was intended to be farther back, tolerance problems at factoryJOn Thu, Jun 26, 2025 at 2:18 PM Nick Taylor <nicksgaragesd@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:John,I bought one of those brass or bronze ones from Gary Goers. The ones he was making shrank too much and you had to fill the license pocket seam but he offered me this one instead. A very nice piece that I haven't put on my car yet. As you said, the studs don't line up exactly. Hopefully whoever is making them has a license plate pocket cut out of a car with enough of the sides to make sure the trim fits onto it.I noticed one restored car sold recently where they spaced out the bumper guards more than stock so that they couldn't hit the cast piece if bumped.Nick.On Thu, Jun 26, 2025 at 7:13 AM John Grady <jkg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:--That is a very good price , lets support this ,all you F guys , get one ! I’ve been discussing this with him over the past couple years, and no one else has been able to reproduce these bezels domestically.Allan owns a handful of 1960 Chryslers - 300F and otherwise - and they’re all in beautiful show condition, so we can expect that this bezel will be a high-quality reproduction.NoelBegin forwarded message:--From: Allan Klotz <allan.klotz@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Subject: 300F BezelHi Noel
I finally got in touch with the company that made my bezel around the license plate.
He will cast them in bronze and then have them chrome-plated. The production prize will be approx. $ 400,00. Then there will be shipping cost to the US and custom duty in the US. If I get a quick answer, I can maybe get one or two produced and bring them with me to the meet in Buffalo. Then there will not be any shipping cost and maybe no custom duty.
Please let me hear from you what you decide.
Look forward to see you in Buffalo.
Best regards
Allan
