--While never a big fan of the styling compared to Forward Look years, I think 64 was the only year where it was possible to have a letter car with A/C, short crossrams, and a 4 speed with a convertible top? Missing since 1960, the 4-speed manual transmission returned!
Only minor trim changes were made, mostly due to the new bodies that would be arriving in 1965. 300K production was the best total sales ever, in response to prices reduced by about $1,000, by making some previous letter series standard features now optional.
