{Chrysler 300} passenger side mirror on 300L

Hi Bob. I had purchased a passenger side mirror from Vance but the issue is that it does not show the rear as it should. It's looking at the sky and also too far to the right. A friend gave me a nice passenger side mirror as used in the 68/70 B body car but it looks pretty well the same so we didn't try to swap it out. I'm thinking that one needs a gasket that's taller on the outside in order to tilt the mirror towards the drivers side to correct the issue. Wonder what the owners of 300L have to say about that? I would appreciate if you could post this on the chrysler 300 reflector as I don't get to see the message if I post it directly there?
