RE: {Chrysler 300} Re: 1956 Coupe/300B Parts Needed

Mark – One of the problems I discovered when locating glass for my 55 Desoto (55-6 Desoto and Chrysler glass is the same) is that the original solex flat glass doesn’t have the stability that later (57 and up) solex has. The result is that you’ll often find a brownish fringing around the edges that’s noticeable, even when the glass is mounted in the frame.

Thanks Ron, yes, that will be my last resort. I would much prefer to find excellent original Solex glass for this restoration.

Mark – All flat door, quarter and vent solex window glass can be cut by any competent auto glass place. The only thing you won’t have is the PPG logo.
