Dark and not good….It’s the original transmission and it’s never been gone thru. 59,000 miles….For what its worth its leaked since I’ve had the car….It started shifting sluggish and was slow to build pressure from neutral to drive or reverse. Also you would have to let off the throttle for it to shift. I then drained a quart of the fluid and added some Lucas Trans-Fix Goo. Basically died right after that ☹

Subject: {Chrysler 300} 1964 300K- Original Transmission just went out todayHello, Can someone advise if a later Big Block 727 Torqueflite will fit in a 64' 300K with the console mounted shifter? I'd like to install a later single pump Torqueflite in the car. Will the stock trans linkage work or does it require modification? Is the later Torqueflite the same length or will I need the crossmember and driveshaft modified? Anything else I would need to know before tackling?
I have no forward or reverse gears and the transmission was whining at all speeds prior. RIP ole' girl....
