Re: {Chrysler 300} Cross ram removal

Drain coolant so heater hoses can be removed.

In removing intake bolts, I’ve never seen one that looked like it went into a water passage in the head.  They sometimes will look oily but not like they contact coolant.   Can’t explain why the FSM would say that.

I have had RAMs on and off both my Ram cars and never drained anything. Water cooled version? Maybe.

Subject: {Chrysler 300} Cross ram removal

Just to tag on an earlier post, I’m getting ready to perform a task that I’m not really looking forward to and that is removing the cross ram intake on my 300F. The shop manual says to drain the cooling system. My question is, why would I need to do that? I’m not removing the heads. If I can save a step, that would be great.

Thanks
