Just a heads-up on the washer pumps. The pumps are made in two different widths. Mopars up to ’65 (not a 100% sure on the years), use the narrow version. There is a second version (I have one here) is about 3/8” wider on the mounting base and you would need to redrill the car body to get it to fit. They look the same in the ads. When I tried to return the incorrect one, the vendor told me “they’re all the same”. They are not, but I was outside of the return period. The pump with the “window” is new to me, yet another variation. Check the width of your mounting holes and confirm with the vendor before ordering. Intelligent design as because, otherwise, the vinyl or top support bracket would have to be stretched or bent. I’ll have to conjure up a gizmo that will do a similar job. Rich B. I found a photo of an original pump and clip.

Oh wow. I always wondered what the square in the pump was meant for. Now I cannot imagine what the clip looks like that lives in there. Ha! Thank you for sharing everyone! Here are photos of the proper washer pump that accepts a clip where the bag gromet meets the pump. The other photo is the bag with the cap, with the hole in it and that's used for the foot operated windshield washer bag. Pretty sure I have seen a bracket with two hooks at top and one at the bottom. Sorry. Rich Where does the Bags lower grommet hole secure too? My area with the top hanger & the current pump below…. <image001.jpg> Matt, this is the proper washer bag for a 1961 and 1962 Chrysler that uses the electric washer pump. The bag that uses the cap with the hole in it uses a pump that's foot operated . This one is like mine, without the lower hole / grommet: On Sep 14, 2025, at 3:21 PM, Rich Barber <c300@xxxxxxx> wrote:
Is there a washer bag available that has a bottom outlet and a hole in the bottom edge to hook over the hold-down hook on the bag support bracket? Bottom hold down grommet and hook are necessary to prevent the fan from eating the empty bag. Don’t ask. Quirey makes a correct one that mounts to existing holes No one has parts to rebuild them and I think they reproduce these still.
Anyone tried to rebuild one of these little pump motors?
