We are all aware of the defects and shortcomings of our cars, just as we do of ourselves. And yet photos of our cars on a computer screen would reveal little or none of it. Touch-ups and embellishments aren't necessary. Photos show model. Color and the obvious. The rest requires inspection. The Mecum 300L is a great example. It looks fine in photos, but upon arrival it shows itself as a tired auction car. Likely moved from auction to auction and in need of love.
Conditionof auction cars is highly variable.
