A standard GM-type adjusting spoon may not be the best choice. This is the correct tool. IIRC, pushing up on the star wheel will draw the shoes closer to the drum.

Subject: {Chrysler 300} 300 F Parking Brake question
Hello everyone,
Researched the archives but didn’t anything specifically addressing the parking brake adjustment on the 300 F.
I have new shoes, but before I go through that process, I thought I would try to adjust the shoes. I have the inspection cover off and I purchased a brake adjusting spoon, but I’m unclear on which was to turn the adjuster. Does the adjuster spin downward or upwards? I tried downwards, but I think I went the wrong way.
Sorry I can’t figure this out, but I’m left handed.
Thanks for any help,
Jay Williamson
