Re: {Chrysler 300} 300-F Spark Plug Wires

Hi Jim,

Here’s Lectric’s info sheet - attached, that they pack with each set of plug wires for our ram cars. It provides the correct length for each of the 8 plug wires.

When I first swapped out plug wires on my F, about 20 years ago, I ordered a set from Atlas Obsolete/Mopar Mall, and those lengths were nowhere close to the correct lengths we receive on Lectric Limiteds' set, so I dumped those shortly thereafter and purchased my first set of Lectric Limited wires on Gil Cunningham's recommendation. Since then, I've bought probably 4 of these sets for my F and won't use any other wires. FYI - My fault entirely, but my first couple sets saw some of my wires burned thru, because my motor didn't have the exhaust manifold heat shields installed on #3/#5 and #6/#8 wires. Those shields are now on my motor.

I just looked at the spare used wires I have in my garage. I have 2 #1 wires - each 34" - and I'm happy to mail these to you tomorrow. The #6 should be 27", so this extra #1 would be 7" too long, but I think usable. My other extras are too short or too long to substitute for a #6.

Did you try calling Lectric to see if they'll ship you just the 2 replacement wires you need, if your mechanic's messed up the others?

Or, I can take a ride over to their shop and check with them. They're under 1/2 hour drive from me. And, if you look on Lectric's Facebook page, you'll see a photo of my 300-F featured by them.

As is also affirmed here by John Guarneri and Bob Jasinski, they've been running these Lectric Limited plug wires, that are also recommended on our 300 Club's website, and they fit perfectly.

Trying to get my 300-F running forfirst time after re-build.  Having issues with Lectric plug wires.  Not getting timing light to fire on #1 or #6.  Then found #1 end came off at plug - didn't seem to be terminated well.  Wondering if #6 is same problem.  Actually think my restoration shop may have been hard on them but thats another story.
So... has anyone bought a set of wires elsewhere that fit the ram cars?  Rock Auto lists a bunch but concerned they not be correct lengths for ram car.  Wanted to throw another set on to get engine running /dialed in and then try to fix/or get new set of LEctric wires.

Thanks.
