From: Ron Waters Hi Michael – Congrats on your purchase. The lock is held in place with a horseshoe-like clip that bends up at a 90 degree at the closed end. The goal is to pop that horseshoe out so that the lock is easily wiggled out from the outside. I created a tool which is comprised of a paint roller extension and the cut off end of a flathead screwdriver, inserted into the end of the extension. The extension can easily be extended to 6 or more feet. So I inserted it into the trunk from where the rear seat back was formerly located. The blade of the screwdriver is wedged between the 90 degree bend and the trunk latch structural support. A quick movement will pop the horseshoe out. Now you can easily remove the lock from the outside. Once the lock is removed, a regular flathead screwdriver will open the trunk by rotating the lock 45 degrees in one direction. Ron From: 'Michael Gerbasi' via Chrysler 300 Club International Purchased an E a few months ago, and am just getting into it. The seller had ignition and door keys. During transport, the trunk keys were lost. I have taken out the rear seats, The trunk is loaded with parts, thought there might be an inner latch to release the deck lid.
