I was once told long ago that the 'suppression' wires were less likely to cause interference on the AM radio reception than the copper, but on both my 55 and 57 300's I used the copper wires and had no interference issues on the radio.

I've been using the old school packard wires (copper core) in my other old cars. I did a search on Google and according to the Anointed One the all knowing AI the modern silicone suppressor wires are better as they can take more heat.

PS. In my search for plug wires and distributor cap, etc, etc a new to me site pops up Bill Rolik Enterprises. Looking at his website seems like he's the real deal with all his drag racing history.
