hi master would have nothing to do with it ? The fronts are fussy If not driven a while , drum can get rusty , causes aggressive self energizing , as in face hits window in spring . Took apart brakes myself for nothing a few times long ago, an old timer ( me now) told me -- if that problem , other wise were fine , brake car aggressively in reverse a few times cleans it off Was it ok? If a "real " problem / new brakes , shoes are often not the diameter of turned drum (Often turned for nothing other than " have to do that ") ( opinion ), makes drum too big for shoes , = grief for 1k-1.5!k miles . It is ok if drums are scratched , new pretty ones will soon be They used to arc grind shoes to match within a few thou . Cannot find that today . I never turn drums now Or , a mix and match wrong shoe designs / backing plates , different " platform " complicated by aftermarket shoes intended to fit both designs ( that got me) this changes springs and attachment places I assume you have excellent service bulletin on setting up brakes ?-- tells you about all this, Mr Merritt may have on tech section ? They are ok once " dialed in "or " "worn in " . Leave alone if half used . Not going 100k more, just brings you grief ( mho)!
