I've put some of them at http://www.ifrance.com/c-i-f/my57pics.htm Beware ! I haven't put thumbnails so it'll take a long time before yoy see the 9 pics. The last is especially long to load because i want to show it to a friend in its original size (impossible to print..). You'll see also the "spare" speedo: a mountain bike computer .. But works fine (in kph !) -- Philippe COURANT (Pau, France) Imperial 57 Crown convertible Buick 58 Roadmaster sedan - American Car Club de France (ACCF) : http://www.accf.com - Chrysler Imperial France : http://www.ifrance.com/c-i-f - Cadillac " Standard of Excellence " : http://www.ifrance.com/accf-cad - SportsCars : http://www.ifrance.com/accf-sprtcar ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 4 Date: Sun, 20 Jan 2002 14:44:45 -0800 From: "Jennifer Allyn" <gearhead.girl@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: A/C Clutch Trying to pull the A/C Clutch off of our '62 300. Pulled out the cap screw & washer, undid the electrical lead, now I'm stumped. The service manual call for a large 5/8 x 2 ½" cap screw to screw into the shoe portion and the clutch will come off. Where does this rather large cap screw, screw? The center hole, where the other cap screw came out of? Just thread the bolt in until it bottoms out, then whack the wrench (in the "tightening" direction) with a soft hammer and the thing will drop right off in your hand. Be sure to keep track of the woodruff key in the compressor shaft while the clutch is apart. With the pulley off, you'll see three small bolts, holding the rest of the clutch assy on.
