As i wanted an original engine bay i put the (new) coil in its original location but i wonder if i did the best thing ! I'm ready to do in 2 weeks a 1000 miles trip, i'm a little anxious about that (and other things..). Are the today coils heat-resistant (i've a "flamme thrower" coil, bought with Pertronix ignitor) ? Perhaps a little heat shield under the coil ? In every case i put in the trunk a spare coil .. And what spare parts do i put in the trunk tool box for a 1000 miles trip ? I'll put belts, ign. coil, perhaps a starter motor as i've a spare. Do you have other ideas ? -- Philippe COURANT (Pau, France) Imperial 57 Crown convertible Buick 58 Roadmaster sedan - American Car Club de France (ACCF) : http://www.accf.com - Chrysler Imperial France : http://www.ifrance.com/c-i-f - Cadillac " Standard of Excellence " : http://www.ifrance.com/accf-cad - SportsCars : http://www.ifrance.com/accf-sprtcar ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Your use of Yahoo!
