The Club and it's magazine editor Andy get some free ink. Unrelated, but since I have your eye, www.corvaircorsa.com is well worth a peek. This 86 year old gent stuffs a V12 Jag engine UP FRONT in a Corvair. I've seen the car several times and it runs like a stocker but has a bit extra grunt!! So here's the list of 30 hotel reservations as of 8/9/02: Anderson, Bartuska, Burke, Cox, Cunningham, Dokus, Eaton, Eckert, Fitch, Goodnight, Graham, Hertog, Irish, Kreszock, Lanfer, Lasenby, Leggatt, Mack, McTaggart, Mikonis, Miller, Moon, Pickler, Rayner, Rogers, Spear, Swanson, Wieland, Wiltse. and of course Jones. So, it looks like about 940 members havent reserved yet. We are sure the 30 named above will have a great time, visit with old friends and make some new ones. This list will change markedly by the 20th, as we all tend to wait til the last moment. We hope to see many more members come out and play with us. See ya in Nashville, Ray Jones ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 10 Date: Wed, 14 Aug 2002 22:48:01 -0700 From: Gary Nelson <Gary@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: vendor comments? Hi Park and All. I would be careful of Atlas. I met in person at a meet where he was selling. At the get go I did not like his arrogant atitude. I bought his catalog there and saw a battery hold down he stated it was duplicate of original. As I know how they where made I could tell when I asked questions that it was not made like original hold down. Then he was selling a pair of reproduction 57 park lenses on ebay last year that I was on the hunt for 3 years. It was obvious he had them on a piece of yellow carpet. I was suspicious that the lenses where yellow,(some of us know who likely made them) so I e mailed him and asked if he could send me a pic of them on white back ground. He never replied. Then I bought some rubber tubing from him and one size was not what I ordered. I had to pay shipping back for his mistake. I was dealing directly with the owner. I do not think he has the good intentions that we look for in a vendor. Those are my experiences. I am sure that a portion of his items are ok. By the way a few months ago I snagged a pair of NOS 57 park lenses for my C. The best part is they where $50 ea. YAHOOOO.
