If your car has a post between the front and rear windows - it should probably be called a sedan. I fully expect - and will accept with honor - the anger of my fellow 300 club compatriots, for making such unorthodox statemants... >From: Jonathan Sacks <jwsacks@xxxxxxxxx> >To: Chrysler 300 Email Network <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> >Subject: [Chrysler300] What's in a name? >Date: Thu, 7 Mar 2002 14:21:55 -0800 (PST) > >Hey all, > >I must be an idiot but what's the difference between a >'66 four-door hardtop and a '66 four-dour sedan? > >300ly, >Jonathan > >__________________________________________________ >Do You Yahoo!? >Try FREE Yahoo! There's some nice folks in Branson, Missouri who have an almost-complete front end for a '57 300C. They have the (restored) hood, fenders, radiator support, cooling ducts and most of the related pieces. They're missing a few parts, such as the hood latch/release mechanism, grill and one of the side corner sheetmetal pieces that frames a cooling duct. The fellas found these pieces near the lettercar-filled chicken coop in GA several months back when they bought the gaugin red convertible (supposedly destined for Europe). They're asking 1800 dollars firm for what they have left, which may or may not be a bargain. We're pretty sure the pieces originally came from my white (chicken coop) convertible. I have the orphan pieces they're missing. The data tag is still attached to the white radiator support -- and they won't sell it to me -- unless I buy the whole clip. I've already committed to the purchase of another clip and can't afford this one without risking deeevorce. I'm hoping that someone in our club might buy these pieces and perhaps sell/trade me the datatag before good-guy Ray and his partner sell it elsewhere...maybe accidentally to someone looking to create a fake. Below are the phone numbers to the Missouri restoration shop. Thanks & sorry for the junkmail. Yes, we bought the car and the parts, we need some for our car, but we do have some extra parts, if you would like you can give us a call at 417-239-1881 or 417-336-5126. These will also be advertised in Brute Force, WPC and NCPC . I have had these lenses made by an authorized and licensed Daimler/Chrysler manufacturer. It was a long and tedious process to insure that the quality was up to par, and the lenses an exact and correct duplicate of the originals. These lenses WILL be guaranteed, for a period of one full year, for any defects in material and/or workmanship. I am expecting the first shipment of lenses any day now, and will be ready to start filling your orders . The cost for a pair of lenses AND gaskets is $225.00, plus $20 insured shipping and handling within the USA . Foreign shipping will be additional . PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE "MY" LENSES with somebody else's current offering on eBay. Please note that whoever is selling these lenses has absolutely no feedback , i.e. no reputation, and is not offering any warranty of any kind. Buyer beware. In order not to lose potential buyers, I have also listed my '61 Chrysler taillight lenses on ebay. My eBay I.D. is " 1560 " . PLEASE DO NOT BID ON MY AUCTION, but rather order from me directly ! Any questions, please reply to me directly. 300'ly John ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Your use of Yahoo!
