The paint shop lost the linkage with clip that goes from the drivers
door handle to the lock mechanism.

Anyone have a spare??

Hi folks. What else fits a 413 RB valley pan, original part # 1851664?
440 perhaps ?? Looks to me like a 383 gasket won't work, but a 426 wedge
will, from scanning my parts books up to '65, but that's as rare as a 413
!!
 Thanks again clan.
          Dave.

Yep, 440 ones are the same as 413 and 426 . Pick em up at any parts store.

This is a question on the dash wiring.
1) with the light switch on park, the speedo lights work on the reostate
switch and the gauge lights are on full intensity.
2) With the light switch on(lights), the speedo cluster works on the
reostate but the gauges cluster does not light.

This is the same with the key on or off.

The shift and clock lights work with the light switch on park or on
lights(on the reostate switch).

I know I'm missing something obvious, but how do I get the gauge
cluster(fuel, amps, temp, oil) to illuminate with the lights on.

I have the engine out, and therefore a lot of wires hanging loose. I
don't see where this will cause the gauges to not light, but what the
heck, what do I know. Any help is appreciated.

Zak

All RB(raised block) engines use the same valley pan gasket. These would
be
413, 440, and 426. The B engines gaskets are interchangeable between the
361, 383, and 400.
