I have an NOS piece of weather-strip that I'd like to use, as a reproduction is not available. Being that is was made in 1962 it is now a little stiff. Any thought on how to soften it up again so it's shape can be restored, thus installed properly? On the 57-8 Chrysler radio, when you remove radio knobs (both inner and outer), there is a thin hex-head nut that holds the shaft in place against the clear plastic. I need two of these nuts. Can anyone help me out ? Thanks ! I went to my local NAPA and they sold me a pair of rears that they said were correct. Unfortunately I acted in faith, painted the shocks black and installed. They are air shocks and I noted a much larger diameter. Turns out they are way to stiff and now the car bounces over bumps. Thanks for any help. Chesnutt" <chesnutt@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: need 300C brake bellow rubber Hi, The rubber brake bellows is available from Karp's Power Brake, 66 N. Central Ave., Upland, CA 91786. Phone 909-985-0800. They make the rubber bellows from their own mold. Price for the Rubber Bellows is $200.00. To overhaul the power booster is $150.00 and with a new rubber bellows, the total is $350.00. "Booster" Dewey in Portland, Oregon recommends them. Also, the Imperial Web site lists them as a source. One of the emailers mentioned 60s jag bellows - made me realise my 63 XKE has same bellows idea, but without looking, I know it is round, not oval, but maybe?! Just got back from the historic races - "57 T/Bird front ends do not 'hang in' as well on wet corners. During lunch break the scottish pipe band just finished and the dancing girls were about 15 seconds into "The sounds of Summer" when the 50 degree forty mile hour winds were joined by near horizontal sleet !! So not having the 300 out on the track was not so bad. The wheat crops on the way out there are up near the tops of the fences, so at least somebody is doing good out of the spring weather.
