The recent outbreaks of bugs and viruses and other web pests have caused many problems for our members. We have had problems with the club list server at Yahoo, and we have had problems with the local internet service providers. To help you regain your email, here is What To Do When Your Chrysler 300 Club Email Quits: First and foremost, look for a reactivation notice from Yahoo. If you see it, reactivate your account. Here is what the notice looks like and how to reactivate: ++++++++++++++++++ Hello, You belong to one or more email groups provided by Yahoo! Autos (autos.groups.yahoo.com). Email from these groups can be recognized by looking for a group name in the message Subject line, like [pet-owners] or [music-fans]. Recently, messages sent to you from Yahoo! Autos have been returned to us as undeliverable. To prevent any problems with your email service, we have temporarily turned your Yahoo! Autos account OFF. If you are reading this message now, the delivery problem appears to be fixed. However, we won't know that the problem is fixed until you tell us. To turn your Yahoo! Autos account ON: - Please REPLY to this message. Send that reply back to us without changing anything. OR - While connected to the Internet, click on the following Web link (or copy and paste it into your Web browser and hit the RETURN key): http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/unbounce?adj=110448377,32727&p=1066832613 Once we get a response from you, we will turn your Yahoo! Autos account back ON, and you will begin to receive messages from your groups again. After you respond, you can read any messages you might have missed while your account was off by visiting: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/mygroups Thank you for using Yahoo! Autos! Yahoo! Autos Customer Care Your use of Yahoo! Autos is subject to http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/ ++++++++++++++++++++++++ As you can see from reading the message, when Yahoo has a problem or when Yahoo detects a problem with your ISP, they put your email address in a bounce file. In the bounce file, as far as 300 Club email is concerned, you are toast, you are off line, you are out of business, see ya later Jack. The reactivation notice is Yahoo's way of telling you there has been a problem, that they think it is fixed, and it is time for you to say "OK, put me back on line." If you don't reply to the Yahoo reactivation request, your address sits in the bounce file. What to do if you are not receiving club mail and you haven't received a Yahoo reactivation notice: give me a holler at: rcmerritt@xxxxxxxxxx or bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or rcmerritt@xxxxxxxxxxxx . Any one of these addresses will reach me. I'll check your account at Yahoo. I may be able to reactivate your account, or I may be limited to asking Yahoo to send you another reactivation request. In the worst case, I can remove your address and re-install. If it turns out the problem is not with Yahoo but with your ISP, I will inform you of that and give you the error messages your ISP will need to make repairs. You can also contact John Hertog at crossram@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or Don Warnaar at 300country@xxxxxxx . If we could eliminate these computer nerds that create the bugs and viruses and worms, we wouldn't have this problem. Until then, you might find it handy to store this message for future reference.
