Go to www.tirerack.com and check out their track tests of tires. I have sometimes wandered from Michelin's at times, but always come back(yea I know about the French and all that) as I have found that they offer the best combo of smoothness, quietness, performance, vibration free and wear. If you do not need all season tires, then avoid them as they sometimes are noisier and do not wear as well, nor handle quite as well. Costco will often offer the best pricing and warranty service(road hazard, which new tires no longer offer as part of their pricing).
