First question re: 300F/G type power antenna : I am stumped as far as removing such an antenna from a vehicle, where it has been installed since new. There are two small holes on the outer/top chrome threaded collar, where a "special tool" is supposed to fit. Problems are, I don't have the "special tool" and also, there is little if no clearance between one of the little holes and the rear fin. Other than demolishing the top/outer chrome collar, is there a solution? Any attempt at inserting a roll pin punch of the appropriate size into the one accessible hole, and then exerting sideways pressure, will demolish the little hole and render the outer/top chrome piece useless. And those are pretty much unavailable, as far as I know. I'd hate to have to wreck it. Also, there is no way to squirt rust penetrant in there. 2nd question: I am restoring a 1962 NewYorker wagon. Anyone out there in 300 land have a '62 NewYorker 4 door hardtop parts car, please e-mail me privately - I need a few doodads... 300'ly and ten days to the Spring Meet !
