Howdy y'all, Unless someone has a very low serial number 300C (1957 type, not 2004 type) and is in need of a "pilot car"-style air cleaner, I'd like to pick up the one on eBay right now in auction 7901327764 at a reasonable price as an example of this type and to have for someone sometime in the future that does need one of the pilot car types. I'm going to place a bid and hope for a low price at the end. If you are not a 300C owner, you probably don't know what I'm talking about but any C Handbook I've sent out in the last year has had info on the THREE styles of air cleaner used on the 300Cs. This is the earliest style used on very few cars. If you are a C owner, have an earlier-purchased copy of my C Handbook, and would like to read the full page I had to write to cover this topic, I'd be glad to attach it to an email for you.
