There was an article recently in a newsletter or other publication I receive (can't lay my hands on it this morning) that described and pictured an air raid siren made during the (late 50's and early 60's) by Chrysler. It had what appeared to be a 331 or next generation hemi attached to a cluster of sirens. The picture showed several stacked in a rail car. This was particularly interesting to me since there is one of these units on a hill near my home with the engine/sirens still intact but not wired to go. I remember these sounding off once a month for testing at 1100 hours the last Friday of every month. Until the early 80's. I thought it was dismantled and then while on a recent hike, saw the old hemi still in place. This would be an industrial engine I would think.
