The filter sock is critical or you will go thru this nonsense again. Maybe
500 km from your house the next time ?

You should get the correct filter for the pickup line. 'Jerry-rigging' is
not the solution. If the mesh is too fine on the substitute filler that you
have installed, for example, you may have the same problem. It'll also put
a strain on the fuel pump, possibly leading to premature failure. No time ??
We car restorers have no deadlines. It happens when it happens.
