> Hi Brian. That mechanism is troublesome, and not the best design. Wiper parking problems are usually traced to the mechanism just under the cover of the wiper motor itself. Generally the brass contact takes a "set" and won't close when it should, or the plastic cam wears out. There is a repair package for this motor that I see on ebay from time to time, but may be obtained elsewhere. It seems when these units sit a long time without use, the brass contact gets deformed and needs to be bent back into the proper form to close. Also, you might find more collective experience on the later Chryslers (with the exception of the Hurst, letter car production ended in 1965) on the "C-body dry dock" website. If you list your question there, you will likely get a lot more response. Good luck with your 300, as I also have a 70 300 that is one of my favorite cars of all time.
