[Chrysler300] C300 Ball and Trunnion

Thanks to all that responded to my questions.

I woke up and took a look at my service manual and determined that the
front u-joint on my 1955 C-300 is the ball and trunnion type. Chrysler
said "This balanced installation is designed to absorb the torque and
thrust of the drive line." The ball and trunnion front joint was
apparently used on all models in 1955 except the Crown Imperial. The
Crowns had two drive shafts with a center bearing and open joints at all
four locations. I'll have to check my boot next time the car is up on a
rack. Any recommendations of sources for a replacement boot in case I
need one? There are 3 1/2 pages describing how to service the ball and
trunnion joint. Looks like fun.
