[Chrysler300] Generator Part Number Check

I purchased a spare generator for my 1955 C-300 and would appreciate
someone with a parts book checking out it's source and rendering an
opinion on compatibility.
The generator supposedly came from a 1955 Chrysler, but the part number
suggests it might have come from an earlier Chrysler.

Chrysler Part No. 1343231 (Mine is 1604831)
Autolite Part No. GGW6001J (Mine is GGW6016D)

I have been assuming I can bolt my power steering pump to the back end
of the "spare" generator. Would appreciate knowledgeable input on this
before I tear into it.

I hope the revelations are not too shocking.
