RE: [Chrysler300] 1955 Dash Pad C-300 vs. '55 Imperial

That seam never existed on the real production cars. The metal under was
in two pieces in the early production and went to one piece sometime later
though.

I have just viewed a supposedly factory photo of a 1955 Imperial dash

pad and it seems to have a seam in it running from the windshield back
and down to the metal portion of the dashboard. My C-300 dash has
probably been restored and does not have this axial seam. Can anyone
confirm whether the original 300 dash pad cover is one piece or seamed
in the middle?
