Hi John, The 61 torqueflite uses a screen for a filter and it is usually just cleaned or left alone. If your transmission is working OK and not leaking at the pan, you can change the fluid by removing the dipstick tube. The torque converter also has a drain plug that is accessed by removing the bell housing shield and rotating the engine until the drain plug is on the bottom. Use type F fluid, about 10-11 quarts for a complete fill. All big blocks use basically the same gasket set except for the valve cover gaskets and the intake gasket. Any good parts store can get them. 300ly, Don ----- Original Message ----- From: <jrcote56@xxxx> To: <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2001 1:34 PM Subject: [Chrysler300] '61 Torqueflites > Hi all, > Need some info and advice. > Are all 1961 Chrysler Torqueflites the same?
