When I had mine replaced some years ago, I had "California Turbos" installed. Don't know the brand, but it's a style of muffler. Sorta stock looking, but it's a glasspack type. The sound is perfect for the car, with a deep throaty roar up to about 82 mph. It then outruns the deep low note and gets very quiet. So, if I'm kinda dozing, I know when Jo Ann's heavy foot has gotten too heavy! 300 l'y, Ray Jones > Hello everyone, > > Can Hurst owners who have replaced their mufflers recommend a part number or brand(NAPA, Walker, etc.) that fits OK and has the "right" sound.(You know ...that "musclecar sound.".. throaty and muscular!!)
