You also have to pay attention to more than right hand/left hand. A few
years ago when I had new tires installed on my conversion van, they put the
nuts back on with the beveled edge out!! It must have been the first day
for some new employee that had no training. This happened at a "name-brand"
tire store.

When you must take your car to a shop where they remove and replace the
lugs, take your own wrench with you. I stand by the car and hand them the
wrench when it comes time to replace the lugs. (if they say I can't stay in
the shop with my car, then I don't use that shop.) I also explain about left
hand lugs. Otherwise, I can only hope I have a 10' pipe in the trunk to put
on the end of the wrench and hop up and down on it if I need to change a
tire. Being a shortie, I can probably get away with it better than you big
guys. Being female helps too. They can patronize me all they want, as long
as they do what I tell them.
