GOT A QUESTION

i got dual exhaust done on my 1970 chrysler 300 with 440 the guy did it for me but my question is he did it only wiht 2/14 incgh pipes sicen 2 1/2 would not fit is this true or am i just seeing what he could no see?? or can i go bigger??
