Expansion/core/ frost plugs

Just a couple of comments here. Core plugs are available in both steel and brass, NOT copper. Big difference between brass and copper.

Brass does not cause galvanic corrosion, whereby copper would, that's why they are brass! Brass plugs are by far the best way to go as they don't corrode/rust. I have had good results with expansion plug discs by coating the inside of the bore with JB Weld epoxy prior to setting the plug. I have never lost a plug installed with JB Weld, and I would use brass as a first choice because of the level of "permanence" the JB Weld gives the installation, coupled with the very long life of the brass plug.
