Garage lift consensus

I remember a few weeks ago there was considerable interest and discussion on the list server about garage lifts, pros, cons, etc. I did not think I had an interest at the time and now wish I had saved all that discussion. Without starting a long string again in the list server, would someone please E-Mail me privately as to what was the final consensus as to the best providers, approximate cost to buy and install, and whether there were companies to avoid.
