Inside Rearview Mirror interchange?

Hi all,

I found a nice day/night rearview mirror from a 1964 Imperial, and wanted to know if I could mount the 'head' of the mirror on the stalk on my 300K.

The seller sent a photo, and it appears that the mirror head is fastened to the stalk by an acorn, or domed-type nut. On my K, there is a recessed crosshead screw in place of the acorn nut.
