Those great looking cars were not designed by Bob Lutz. The designs were the masterpiece of Tom Gale. He was encouraged to retire early to get rid of his cab forward design. 
My personal opinion is the new management wants to control the taxi cab and the police car business. That is why they have gone to a Checker cab front end on the new concepts. It will really do a number on Nascar. 
The Charger RT and 300 Hemi Convertible were awespome designs of Tom Gale. Unfortunately we will never see them unless of course someone like Nissan picks up the strong consumer message
to build cars that look like that. Heck, they might even be able to get around the trademark infringements, by giving them Japanese names like Larger RT and Tree hundred Lemi Conwertible. I'd buy one!!
