1964 K console courtesy light problem

I need some help with solving a problem with the courtesy lights on the
console on my '64 K convertible. They do not light when I open the doors. I have
continuity on the console cable itself, and continuity to ground at the
instrument panel is good. Four-wire connect to instrument panel continuity is good.
Map light and back seat courtesy lights perform when doors are opened. The
problem is only with the console lights.
I do not have a wiring diagram for the console itself. My shop manual shows
wiring for the instrument panel and body but none for the console. My parts
book shows the cable but no color code. My actual color of wiring differs from
wiring diagram in that power line to fuse box is green rather than red, and
line to ground is white rather than black. I am ready to start over with the
console cable, but wonder if anybody else has run into this problem or has any
suggestions or a wiring diagram for the console courtesy lights. Thanks.
