413 engine removal/ air conditioning query.

Hi group,
Not 300 but nearly! I need to pull the engine out of my NY'er. Been thru' the service manual, but not the answers I'm looking for. Can I pull the engine and leave the a/c system intact? It is still full of R12 and I don't want to lose it if possible. Anyone successfully done this, please?
