Hi Group: In what must be considered as the Chutzpah marketing of the year, the seller of the red 300-G on E-Bay (Sale number 2448092072) states in the middle of his extensively long description of the car: I HAVE CONTACTED THE CHRYSLER 300 CLUB TO DETERMINE THE VALIDITY OF THIS VEHICLE AND HAVE FOUND THAT THIS CAR STARTED OUT LIFE AS A TRUE 1961 CHRYLSER 300G HARDTOP WITH THE MARDIGRAS RED PAINT. IT WAS ALSO DETERMINED THAT BASED OFF OF THE BUILD DATE ON THE MOTOR 12-6 AND A BUILD DATE OFF OF THE PLACARD ON THE CAR 12-22 THAT THE MOTOR IS ORGINAL. THIS 300G HAS BEEN RESTORED TO A FABULOUS CONVERTIBLE AND IS OF THE BEST QUALITY THAT HAS BEEN SEEN. Now I don't know about you all, but to me one does not "Restore" a hardtop to convertible status. I guess you have to give him credit for letting the potential buyers know but, then again, he also makes the following statement: THIS 300G WAS BOUGHT BACK IN 1990 BY A LONG TIME LAS VEGAS HOTEL/CASINO OWNER AND WENT FOR OVER $90,000 AT THE KRUSE INTERNATIONAL AUCTION. Somehow I doubt that. His "Buy it Now" price is $59, 998.00. Anybody interested??????? Pete Fitch [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
