Val, '69 Roadrunners had a base engine of 383 4bbl. and optionally could be equipped with Super Commando 440 (4bbl.), SuperCommando 440+6 (3 Holley 2bbl. on an Edelbrock Manifold flowing ~1350 cfm (350 in the middle and 500 ea on the ends...)), or the elephant motor 426 Hemi with 2 4 bbl. carbs. I did find a neat VIN decoder that covers the upper end of our letter series cars. See: http://www.moparpages.com/vin/ It doesn't validate against anything, but you can quickly plug in a serial number for 1962 - 1980 and get a decode. Just for jun I plugged in YM43R0B127690 and it decoded to a 1970 Crown Imperial 4 door Hardtop with a 426 Hemi that rolled of the Hamtramck assemply line. Now, I'm not sure where Imperials were coming from in '70, but I'm sure nobody got one for the factorywith a Hemi! teehee..... Our best wishes to all for a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year! Was the above available with a 440 4barrel and if so what was the alpha designation in the VIN ? I've been looking for one but possibly in vain ?
