I ran a softwater connection to my outside regular hose bib location(connected both bibs to the same hose via a T) so that when I wash my auto's I can give them a final rinse with softwater. Does an excellent job so that if I am in a hurry I can just drive off without drying the auto and for the most part water spotting is at a minimum. Also works great for rinsing my home windows(long hose will help) after washing them. Not quite as perfect as drying with a squeegee but sure a lot less labor. One rain anyway will ruin a perfect job.
