Rec'd my 2/3/05 Old Cars Weekly today. In the Auction Express section, at the Rupp Ft. Lauderdale Aution on 1/7/8/9/05, a G cvt in #2 condition sold at $56,000. Good price, especially if condition is really #2, compared with the recent very high prices at B-J last week. You don't suppose the $56K buyer took the car to B-J and turned it over for a fast extra $140K or so??? Doubt it as we know the black one was from the Seattle area, but I did not read about the history of the green one. Perhaps I missed that part. Anyway, seeing the $56K price was quite jarring so close to the whoppers at B-J. Expect the Ft. Lauderdale buyer is feeling quite good, perhaps smug even, about the purchase.
