[Chrysler300] Motor numbers

Hello All

I have found and bought a Hemi engine. i was told it was a 1958. The seller 
did not know the engine size but I got it priced right so I took it anyway. 
It was headed for the scrap yard and that should not happen. It turns over 
and has compression and came complete with a starter.

If some one has any books on chrysler engine numbers the front stamped 
number is VT 344-7172. If any one knows where to direct me to identify it I 
would sincerely appreciate the direction.
