RICH & ALL, A DEALER IN TOWN IN MARCH 1955, HAD A NEW IMPERIAL & A NEW C300 
IN THE SHOWROOM. WE COMPARED THE DIFFERENCES OF THE 2 CARS. THE IMPERIAL HAD AN 
ARGENT SILVER BACKGROUND & THE C 300 HAD A PLATINUM BACKGROUND. I BROUGHT 
THIS UP TO C 300 OWNERS & THEY TOLD ME, NO, IT CAN'T BE. THEY WERE ALL SILVER. 
WHEN I INSISTED, THEY ASKED WHAT COLOR THE CAR WAS. IT WAS WHITE. THEY 
RESPONDED, MAYBE THEY WERE ONLY PLATINUM ON WHITE CARS. THE IMP & 300 WERE BUILT ON THE 
SAME ASSEMBLY LINE, I THINK THEY TRIED TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE 2. ARGENT 
SILVER IS THE SAME PAINT USED ON GM RALLYE WHEELS. I DON'T KNOW WHAT CHRYSLER 
CALLED IT. ARGENT MEANS SILVER, SO IT'S SILVER SILVER. WHEN I WAS @ NEWPORT, I 
NOTICED THE '60 F GRILLES WERE PAINTED FLAT BLACK. I TOLD THEM IT WAS 
INCORRECT. THEY ASKED HOW I KNEW? I SHOWED THEM MY ORIGINAL '60 GRILLE, IT IS BLACK 
ANODIZED.  IT'S A SURVIVOR OF SORT, REFINISHED WHERE NECESSARY, GRILLE 
UNTOUCHED. THEY STILL PAINT THEM BLACK TO RESTORE THEM, & DON'T LOSE POINTS. GO FIGURE.
