The car belonged to Tom Turner. A few years ago there
was a regular sunday aft program, Either car and
Driver TV or Motor Trend TV, this was pre Speed
Channel days. Tom was profiled along with his 58,59
and his two 60's. great footage of the cars and Tom
related how his 58 was used in the Movie. The car has
no bearing on the scpipt other than the temptation of
owning one by the lowly paid Government Investigator
who was a main character in the Movie. the car
reflected "what could have been if there was enough
money". The showroom was eluded to be Chrysler
Manhatten as that is where the story took place. I
have a copy of the program that Tom was interviewed.
