RE: [Chrysler300] 6 Volt Breakers

Rich,

When a breaker has a voltage listed, it is for the MAXIMUM voltage it is
designed to handle. What is important in selecting a breaker is its current
rating, so you can use a 12V rated breaker in a 6V system as long as the
current rating is adequate to handle the load in amps. It all comes down to
ohm's law for power:

Wattage= Amps X Volts

The same wattage bulb in a 6 volt car will draw twice the amps to consume
the same wattage. I'm not saying that 12V bulbs can be used in a 6V car,
I'm just pointing out the relationship between voltage, amps, and power
consumed.
